That late 70s mod revival began with the Jam though, iirc, so they wouldn't have been mods if they hadn't been Jam fans.
My sister was involved in that revival and she was never a Jam fan fwiw.

It's been a wild week for artists, journalists and fans, but a special shout-out to the B * S stans who reported the NYT music account for abuse for reporting that the group sold four collector versions of its EP to juice sales— cganz (@mehpatrol) April 26, 2019
jfc the replies. I guess this is what Beatles fans would have been like on Twitter circa 1964?

OMG, you’re not kidding
Take a look what this NYT writer said about Taylor Swift when she did bundles and made her fans buy as much as 13 copies of ONE ALBUM to boost her sales. He described it as "Never doubt Taylor Swift". But as for BTS, he said "a canny strategy". He put her in more positive light.

I completely misread that and thought Belle & Sebastian were selling their own juice, then I clicked on it and thought what has Built To Spill done now? Then I thought, wait, why hasn't anyone mentioned Insane Clown Posse on this thread before?

Maybe a stretch but after learning they exist, people that still stan Sublime in 2019 must be considered an (admittedly, extremely tiny) subgenre, no?
Also, astounded that Juggalos haven't been mentioned yet.
