1 & 2 is fucking titanic.

idler wheel is fiona's best album, so i'll save my kendrick vote for another year

I had to vote for Frank Ocean simply because I played the shit out of that album for like 24 months straight. At home, on the way to and back from work, it actually kind of pisses me off that he doesn't tour or record that much, but whatever, he's got to do what he knows is good for him.

the top 3 here are still immense, then there's devotion, kaleidoscope dream, fin, armor on...

Considered Channel Orange and Kaleidoscope Dream but voted Red.

Sad that the other Death Grips album isn't listed here, after I just came across this today

The singles this year were just massive.

Went with Kendrick. He’s gone on to have one hell of a career, but GKMC has a lightness to it that I miss.

Funny how Born to Die was panned like crazy at first but retrospective rankings have put it in the top 10 here.

Gonna dissent - to me, this is a thoroughly humdrum year, as far as this poll is concerned, but also in general. Of Montreal, Micachu and Blut Aus Nord are my picks, and the only thing I'd consider voting for here is Kendrick, who of course doesn't need the votes

I agree. A lot of great artists on the list, but I'd rank nearly all of these albums somewhere in the 2nd - 4th range within their individual careers.

The bubbling under section is just a random list of like 200 more albums, I'm almost certain its not in any kind of order. In a way, I am still using it as I think all but one or two were on the bubbling under list.

I never proof read my posts before posting on here (I need an edit button), this time I did and found so many mistakes. Lesson learned I hope.

looking up old lists my actual favorite record from this year is Wild Nothing - Nocturne

Probably Actress, Andy Stott or Kendrick but a weaker year for me all told. A lot of this stuff feels older than 10 years somehow? List needs Shackleton, Raime, Panopticon and Pelt.

Because five days is plenty of time and anything more is risking voter fraud!

I know I've engaged reluctantly with the last couple but these polls should really last 0 days. We'd all get a lot more out of discussing the ILM 77s from each year than relitigating critical consensus

I mainly remember 2012 for illness with a soundtrack of Hindemith instead, for some reason. But from the list, Kaleidoscope Dream is the one giving the strongest "you should dig me out and re-listen this instant" vibes, so that.

So did I - definitely my favourite of hers.

Voted for Miguel, might have gone for Jessie Ware instead had I not somehow missed it. Think my favourite album from this year would be Koi no yokan by Deftones (their overall best album maybe).

I remember the Converge album being good, I should revisit that.
