that's the first one, which is one of the most fun rap albums ever made. new one isn't much cop, but it reminded me how much I loved the OG.

I'm finding these confusing, though. For instance I love Pere Ubu but they're not in my top 50 overall right now. Ditto for Buddy Holly. And that Hold Steady album, I've listened to two or three times, way less than their other albums. The three month is confusing too: I listened to part of The Wall but not enough to get it on any list of mine.

Yeah, mine are always cluttered with covers of albums that I've only listened half, one time. Don't understand the algorithm.

I think its done purely from total tracks per album listened to, thereby biasing it towards albums with lots of short tracks.

think it depends what you have the album tagged as too - eg when i imported my copy of aaliyah's s/t album, itunes auto-tagged it as "aaliyah [japan]" rather than just "aaliyah", so of course its cover wouldn't show up here...

Does the scrobbler actually send metadata like tags along with the song to last.fm? I find that hard to believe. But if so, I think I'm going to read their privacy statement very soon.

Or do you simply mean the artist name 'tag'?

I see, but I meant the 'grouping' tag for instance, or the comments/info you can add to a song.

I have songs without an album tag, and last.fm automatically 'finds' an album that song is on (a greatest hits album, for example). I don't have that album, but if I listen a lot to that song, it will pretend I do have it.
