Rolling last.fm thread 2009 no haters!

I see, but I meant the 'grouping' tag for instance, or the comments/info you can add to a song.

I have songs without an album tag, and last.fm automatically 'finds' an album that song is on (a greatest hits album, for example). I don't have that album, but if I listen a lot to that song, it will pretend I do have it.

huh sure. It seems that it's just taking the information from last.fm's terribly inaccurate album charts. No I haven't listened to that one song more times than I've listened to every song from the album it's on combined.

It's quite funny, but whenever I look at what my neighbours listen to, ilxors are nearly always listening to whatever is being talked about on ILM (apart from those who seem to always listen to New Order), wonder if ilxors even realise it?

yeah i've become somewhat self-conscious about that...

my top scrobbling of Sonic Youth this year is probably the result of all the polling on ilm lately (plus they played my hometown in May which was kind of a big deal)

If it's not one of the really well known or hyped bands it can make interesting effect on the charts but if it's because of Animal Collective type or Radiohead or Fleetwood Mac/Steely Dan type threads/polls it looks pretty boring and also makes ILM look a bit hivemind.

erm I'd like to thank everyone for not raggin' on my having the three Pitchforkest releases of 2009 in my (overall) patchwork quilt there. It's not quite true, I swear.
