Robert is really happy with this new line-up. He thinks it was important to take a "new direction" now.

I love how they trot out this line as if it's a fresh concept and the Cure's lineup *doesn't* change every ten minutes.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Thursday, 8 September 2005 14:56 (eighteen years ago) link

ooh, I'd be willing to make copies of this to send out to others if someone can send a copy to me... damn this looks like some fine work!

patita (patita), Thursday, 8 September 2005 15:26 (eighteen years ago) link

and dump Jason for Boris!

PLEAAAASE!

I love how they trot out this line as if it's a fresh concept and the Cure's lineup *doesn't* change every ten minutes.

The previous line-up had been solid for almost ten years, that's longer than most bands' entire careers.

We're calm folks, mzui, don't worry. *breaks down into floods of tears*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 27 September 2005 16:48 (eighteen years ago) link

I'm sorry Ned but my only decent copy of The 13th has two tape flips in it, so it doesn't make the cut (it was only played live a dozen times y'know) sorry bout that...

mzui (mzui), Tuesday, 27 September 2005 16:52 (eighteen years ago) link

Alas! (Though hmmm...any way interested parties could ask after a fifth bonus disc? I hear they're all the rage these days!)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 27 September 2005 16:57 (eighteen years ago) link

I don't see a problem with that, but it is severely disrupted.

once the copies go out to the lucky 15, then everyone else can start hassling said 15 for copies (and I think we're all happy to keep waiting if it means the DVD (!) will happen)

Baaderonixx and the hedonistic gluttons (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 28 September 2005 15:08 (eighteen years ago) link

I suspect it was a covert recording by some fans, I've heard tales of Rob & Co taking over public rooms in hotels after gigs and having drunken singalongs with fans before. The quality ain't all that, it's just for a bit of a laugh really.

mzui (mzui), Wednesday, 28 September 2005 15:17 (eighteen years ago) link

I wish I was a Cure fan, as opposed to someone who just dips his toe in the water now and again, as this looks quite an achievement.
