Different. Wilder, noisier. Does what kid606 thinks his mostly feeble and pointless (just my rockist opinion) attempts to mash pop and idm/gabba/breakscore together are doing: think of what MP3 Killed the CD Star should've been like - hi-speed and inventive but still showing affection and respect for the individual tracks: it's fierce and splattery but a long way from V/VM-esque smug butchery - and multiply by a thousand.
I'm probably not helping here at all, so why not visit http://reliq.net/soot/sounds.html and get some mp3s? You can get the whole of his previous mix set Gold Teeth Thief as an mp3, and awesome stuff it is too, if you ask me.

He's got a book club and he reads a lot
Taibo is a brilliant historian (his Che biography is a best-seller), and this forms part of Taibo’s Hector Belascoarán Shayne ‘independent investigator’ series. Great stuff. The authors alternate chapters. Thanks to T-Kay & Carolina for the Taibo heads up!This summer I’ve read half a dozen books by him (currently on Adios, Madrid en espanol – the NYPL stocks a lot of Taibo in the original Spanish).

Michael Taussig is the only thing on there I recognize, and he's total classic. Maybe I should check out some of these other titles...
