,what should I ask them? Scion are Rene aka Vainquer and Pete aka Substance - Basic Channel Compilation and Vainquer's "Elevations" are one of my favourites records ever, so I've got some ideas, but I will be grateful for your help.

erm, ask 'em about the 'arrange and process...' cd. i love it but i want to know how it squares with the 'medium is message' (ie. vinyl)philosophy of the basic channel label.

Michael and brg30: thank you for your suggestions. You helped me to put some of ideas into words. If you want I may send you the transcription as soon as I write it down. The interview was OK, Rene and Pete are really nice guys even if a bit laconic and more down-to-earth than I supposed. But damn my interview! - Scion live were absolutely amazing! So intense and overwhelming, so precise, deep and hypnotic, so loud, and yet still danceable - I 'm still stunned.

These dudes are playing here in half an hour (1 dj pete set, 1 dj rene set, and 1 scion set) and here I am complaining about how I don't feel like going out. Someone say something enouraging so I don't miss a pretty serious boat.
