I have no idea if this is true or not, but over at the Velvet Rope someone is reporting that Britney is currently in the studio with Mutt Lange recording a cover of Yes' "Seen All Good People" with Tommy Lee on harmonies.

Did some heads here just explode?

Surely this is a sign of the apocalypse.

that rulez!!

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 24 October 2002 19:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Britney and Tommy Lee were inevitable, but this seems mega-fake.

dleone (dleone), Thursday, 24 October 2002 19:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I agree with dleone,.....Britney and Tommy Lee seemed destined to come together, but on a Yes cover? Highly, highly, highly unlikely.

An Asia cover, maybe, but never Yes.

They had too much time to think of what song to cover, Alex. If they'd chosen the song in the heat of the moment, however....oh, forget it, this joke is too bad even for me.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 24 October 2002 19:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, it's bullshit. Nevermind.

Yancey (ystrickler), Thursday, 24 October 2002 19:30 (twenty-three years ago)

It was the heat of the moment... tellin' me what my heart could feel....

Asia.

David Allen, Thursday, 24 October 2002 19:41 (twenty-three years ago)

They were the Heep of the moment.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 24 October 2002 20:10 (twenty-three years ago)

And now she finds herself in '02...

Joe (Joe), Friday, 25 October 2002 20:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, there's one silver lining...a well-placed bomb could take out two modern music malefactors.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 25 October 2002 23:02 (twenty-three years ago)

The original poster has admitted it was a joke. I am now brokenhearted. Do it Britney, DO IT!!!! And get Mikk Mars for the guitar solo!!

Joe (Joe), Saturday, 26 October 2002 01:46 (twenty-three years ago)

That's quite funny Joe - too bad it lacks such a vital syllable - does noughty two work better? ok fine, it sounds dumb..

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 26 October 2002 02:10 (twenty-three years ago)

What about that Zack de la Rocha/Gene Simmons/J-Lo King Crimson thing? "Marx, tongue, 'n' a spic"

dave q, Saturday, 26 October 2002 13:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Wow, that was really bad, and I don't mean "bad for society once the kids start to get into it."

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Saturday, 26 October 2002 13:08 (twenty-three years ago)

The worst part of dave's joke is getting it.

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 26 October 2002 13:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Eyes poisoned forever, dave. Still, good show.

dleone (dleone), Saturday, 26 October 2002 15:53 (twenty-three years ago)

That was an awfully English joke for you to make, Q, wasn't it?
