has anyone heard erland oye and morgan geist's "ghost trains"? it's - as the thread title suggests - lovely electro pop. the kind of thing psp may be doing if they weren't making lighters-aloft oasisms. and they were younger.

It definitely isn't one of MG's best productions -- nice but on the boring side.

hmmm. i'm not sure about the song - yet - but the twinkly production is really nice.

andy k. posted while i was writing. the repetition of the word 'nice' is a concern.

It's till on gabba.net archive. I like the song - it reminds me about Borneo And Sporenburg a bit. Don't you think Andy it wouldn't sound out of place on Italic compilation? Haven't thought about PSP myself, but now I can get a point - I wondered whether Tom would like it, now it's clear :)

I don't think it would sound out of place on Italic at all. It's in that same category of stripped-down lush electropop as Borneo & Sporenburg, Lali Puna, and Donna Regina. No one does it better than Lali Puna right now.

"No one does it better tha Lali Puna right now"

I agree, completely! Everything they touch is a thing of beauty, they even could make me like this Slowdive track!
By the way- has anyone heard Marz LP "Love Streams" on Karaoke Kalk?
Very beautiful, as well. Germans amaze me more and more every year.
