can anyone confirm the existence of a version of The Orb's 'Perpetual Dawn' that i'm positive i heard on Annie Nightingale's show once...this was over 11 years ago though. it starts off with a ragga MC with a quite high voice toastin' over some Renegade Soundwave style broken breakbeat, dipping sub bass and pitched down record scratch type noise...over the next 3 minutes more and more elements of the Ultrabass version drift in but there are no other vocals, just the whistling sounds and the dubby/housey piano loop, the bassdrum cuts out towards the end and its totally special! i've never managed to locate this version in all the time since...its possible what i heard at the start was another track that The Orb was being mixed into but i dont think so cos it fitted so well and matched The Orb sound anyway...and i do remember Annie just sayin it was 'Perpetual Dawn' by The Orb but its not the version of their album...help! its not the Solar Youth mix, not the January 3 mix and not the Ultrabass II mix - what else is there?

Perhaps obvious, but either the Andrew Weatherall Ultrabass I Mix or Solar Flare Extended Mix?

Don't know if we're thinking of the same thing but I've got a wonderful reggaefied version. I'll root it out in the morning when I'm a bit more compus mentis.

cool, as long as its not the one with the actual singing of 'perpetu-al daaaaaaawn' on it and the girl goin 'special request to the dj alex and you timothy' - thats the solar youth mix i believe

I also think it might be the Ultrabass I version.

Does anyone know the name of the version on the Orb video? Someone taffed it from me years ago, but I remember it being one of the best versions. Anyone know anywhere I can download the video from?
