It's "Yesterday" by Paul McCartney.

Don Weiner, Sunday, 27 October 2002 02:40 (twenty-three years ago)

'Light My Fire' probably has as many official covers as 'yesterday'

But what's the most covered good song? There are loads of See See Rider (and alternative spellings) and Summertime and Everyday I Have The Blues.

Pretty sure Don W. is right about it being "Yesterday" -- at least that's what I've always heard. Although, come to think of it, the first time I heard that was approx 15 years ago, so maybe something else has replaced it by now.

jaymc (jaymc), Saturday, 4 March 2006 03:58 (twenty years ago)

"Yesterday" and "Summertime" seem like the obvious (not nessecarily correct) answers to me.

A Licky Boom Boom Down (R. J. Greene), Saturday, 4 March 2006 05:57 (twenty years ago)

A-ha - "Take on Me"

Cameron Octigan (Cameron Octigan), Saturday, 4 March 2006 07:09 (twenty years ago)

Certainly up there are "Brown Eyed Girl," "My Girl," and "I Can't Help Myself."

billstevejim (billstevejim), Saturday, 4 March 2006 08:07 (twenty years ago)

Not "ever" but "I'm not your Stepping Stone" is up there.
