Temptation ?: New Order, Heaven 17, Wet Wet Wet....just off the top of my head. What's odd is that the first two were only about a year apart in the charts.

There are a dozen different songs named "Two Hearts". I can think of several "Hearts on Fire" too: Steve Winwood, Bryan Adams, Genesis, Gram Parsons... Allmusic.com could probably summon up a multitude of songs with the same title; just search for tired cliches.

"Cory & The Mandara Suicide Pyramid Action or Gas Satori"

Damn! I was just going to suggest that one myself!

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Tuesday, 29 October 2002 17:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I vote for "Lady"

Styx, Kenny Rogers, Little River Band, Supertramp, D'angelo, T. Rex, Sandy Denny ... and Stryper.

dog latin, Tuesday, 29 October 2002 18:34 (twenty-three years ago)

It has to be "Forever", I can't think of many but I am sure that has been used by practically everyone....

Richard, Tuesday, 29 October 2002 20:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sticking with "Tonight".

Most overused, slightly arcane song title: Ship of Fools

dave225 (Dave225), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 13:37 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd have to say "Wish You Were Here." There's Pink Floyd, Incubus, The Get Up Kids..They're all good songs, but geez, be more creative

Kahla, Thursday, 31 October 2002 01:23 (twenty-three years ago)

agreed, Kate, "I Want You" might win the prize

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 31 October 2002 03:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Why are there so many songs either titled or mentioning a "Spy in the House of Love?" It means nothing as far as I can tell.

paul cox (paul cox), Thursday, 31 October 2002 05:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Every early 90s shoegazing indie band had a song called "Falling", or "Falling Down".

It was the law.

Dickon Edwards, Saturday, 2 November 2002 11:04 (twenty-three years ago)
