I've been enjoying this a lot. I interviewed him a few weeks ago, article should go up next week hopefully.

And we didn't even touch on "Let Me Imagine You," my absolute favorite on the album.

yeah great interview! i interviewed him a million years ago and it was so frustrating because our connection was terrible. but he was still fun to talk to.

That was a great read. Robert seems like such a cool guy. Good work Geoffrey.

this is right up my alley! for a while I was pleasantly surprised, very surprised, that this guy had made an album:

haw. i need to dig into this album a bit more, but it seems extremely solid on my first couple listens. gotta say, i'm still so go-betweens-centric that i subconsciously expect mclennan to pop up after two Forster songs in a row :(

^ Gee, sounds exactly like one might expect such a project to sound!

I was only dimly aware there had been a new RF album before this was bumped. Weird. Sounds good after 1.5 listens. Some of his solo records have tended to sound like undifferentiated streams of chords and words at first, only coalescing into actual songs with more exposure. But there are sufficient hooks and memorable flourishes in the arrangements for me to confidently say I quite like this one already.

Maximum big surprise! (Nag! Nag! Nag!), Saturday, 19 March 2016 21:12 (eight years ago) link

two years pass...

Great news, thanks!

So glad he's coming back so soon. The album cover suggests this will be a classic.
