I've get to hear nothing about our albums as we're unknown over here in the UK (Death By Chocolate), but I've been referred to this site & haven't got a clue what it's all about:

It's his list of albums that he nominated for the Shortlist - American equivalent of the Mercury music Prize, which has respected music figures on its panel of judges. I once put a thread up asking about it, and many ILM folks were kind enough to give me info on it.

Shortlist = US equivalent of Mercury Music Prize (sort of)

Before arriving at the Shortlist, some of the "good and the great" are asked to nominate five LPs, all of which is turned into a "Longlist". Iggy seems to like the Death By Chocolate record, so it made his 5 and hance the Longlist (but not the Shortlist, shame)

Bloody hell - I really am in the dark about this...it's amazing! We only seem to sell albums in the States & we don't get to hear anything about anything.

Aw, shucks. By the way, thanks for the Clientele tip (I'm sure you mailed me last year)...I adore the album. Anyone who namechecks The Carnival is Over (no. 1 when I was born, btw) can't be bad.
