MS JADE!! is the girl interrupted cd out?? i cant stop playing the three songs ive heard by her, how orgasmic is that 'its my girl yvonne from the hair salon' straight warning jack, and its just a b side!! shes a seriously ill mc too, like best female in the game since eve fell off, i love her skin tingly style so much

had the same feeling when "Feel the Girl" peeked its head above the surface coupled w/ "Dream". wasn't too into the one w/ Nelly Furtado and "Big Head" has like no emceeing at all so it kinda just coasts. Search: "Count if Off" with Jay-Z, and her guest pots on Pastor Troy's "Are We Cuttin" and "Funky Fresh" Missy's new one.

Honda, Wednesday, 30 October 2002 11:47 (twenty-three years ago)

guest (s)pots.....

Honda, Wednesday, 30 October 2002 11:48 (twenty-three years ago)

dream, funky fresh and ching ching ching are all great, i'm eager to hear the rest...

Mitch Lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 15:35 (twenty-three years ago)

I think my favourite is still "Feel The Girl" - that beat!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 15:38 (twenty-three years ago)

'What Up Yall!!!

The long wait is over! Ms. Jade's Album "GIRL INTERRUPTED" will be in
Stores November 5th. On it you'll find blazin' hits like "Feel The Girl", "Big Head", and the new Single "Ching Ching" that features Timbaland and Nelly Furtado.'

that's the e-mail i got.

d k (d k), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 16:25 (twenty-three years ago)

over the years she's marred many a Missy joint with her terrible flow ("Slap! Slap! Slap!" and the otherwise incredible video version of "Hit Em Wit Da Hee") so I was totally shocked by how good her solo singles are, even if it's still mostly the beat, but she sounds more competent now and doesn't screw anything up. they've been gradually less fantastic from "Feel The Girl" to "Big Head" to "Ching Ching" but still a pretty impressive streak. kind of a shame that it's gotten relatively low buzz (compared to other Beat Club releases), but ehh, i honestly can't think of a reason to buy it myself.

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 16:31 (twenty-three years ago)

four years pass...
WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?

The Brainwasher (Twilight), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:32 (nineteen years ago)

The album was a complete bust.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:35 (nineteen years ago)

Which was too bade cuz it had a number of good tracks.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:36 (nineteen years ago)

That sucks. Timbaland should stop working with the likes of Duran Duran and that chick who lost American Idol and get back with Ms. Jade (and Kiley Dean! whatever happened to her?)

The Brainwasher (Twilight), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:40 (nineteen years ago)

Heh did Kiley Dean's album even get released?

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:44 (nineteen years ago)

Did "Big Head" predate "Grindin'?

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Monday, 20 November 2006 06:49 (nineteen years ago)

they came out the same year, I think roughly at the same time too. why? they don't really sound anything alike.

lol @ me on this thread confusing Ms. Jade with Mocha on "Hit Em With Da Hee." Ms. Jade's post-album collabs with State Property dudes were great, it's a shame she didn't keep doing a lot of underground stuff after her album stiffed.

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 14:15 (nineteen years ago)

i still listen to this like 1nce a week - 'dead wrong' is my fav

her pos k remake with beanie sigel on that dj clue tape was hilarious

brian macdonalds big head/human league blend is probably my fav 'mash-up' ever

and what (ooo), Monday, 20 November 2006 14:26 (nineteen years ago)

are we cuttin is dogshit tho

and what (ooo), Monday, 20 November 2006 14:28 (nineteen years ago)

Philly really does have the greatest assemblage of dignified middleweights in hip hop. even the people who flop are pretty respectable.

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:35 (nineteen years ago)

oh i dunno if you'd say that if you lived there

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:43 (nineteen years ago)

haha then again i'm sure they say that about b-more too

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:43 (nineteen years ago)

"20,000 joe buddens" as ethan sez

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:44 (nineteen years ago)

well i know nothing about their underground, i'm sure a lot of it's pretty dire. i'm just saying, there are a ton of people from Philly who got at least one major label album and a couple videos but didn't become superstars (or like Eve had really short reigns at the top), and for the most part they're all at least decent.

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:48 (nineteen years ago)

dont forget spank rock

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:50 (nineteen years ago)

it is kind of amazing how many east coast underground cats sound JUST LIKE joe budden, though. you don't even get that many imitators of someone legitimately successful like 50.

(xpost Plastic Little be running them streets, i hear)

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:52 (nineteen years ago)

man i get like 400 plastic little stickers in the mail a week

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:54 (nineteen years ago)

admittedly the first time "BLACK PEOPLE DONT CRY" in sparkly letters was pretty funny

bo janglin (dubplatestyle), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:55 (nineteen years ago)

Plastic Little should make stickers that say "we're the shark that Ghostface jumped over"

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 15:56 (nineteen years ago)

Alex in Baltimore (Alex in Baltimore), Monday, 20 November 2006 16:15 (nineteen years ago)

anticon jemima (ooo), Monday, 20 November 2006 16:41 (nineteen years ago)
