damn, i thought this was gonna be in response to my 'did raekwon invent bleached jeans?' thread suggestion. one day i'll summon the courage to start it.

you are talking about the ones that look like the wearer has just spunked/been spunked on by a giant levis sponsored dong to the tune of 'should i stay or should i go', no?

s magnet, Thursday, 31 October 2002 13:12 (twenty-three years ago)

acid wash or just pale pale blue? (either way, classic.)

minna (minna), Thursday, 31 October 2002 13:53 (twenty-three years ago)

any 80s retro fetish should be destroyed before we all are wearing pointy shoes again.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 October 2002 15:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Are you talking about those jeans where there are blatant bleach / fade spots, say, on the ass cheeks, or the front thighs? If so, I'm with the mob.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 31 October 2002 15:31 (twenty-three years ago)

The ones where you look like you sat in white paint? Total Dud. Any unnatural fading of jeans is dud.

Retreads occur twenty years hence. An 80s Revival is just around the corner -- Parachute Pants, Big Hair, and all.

christoff (christoff), Thursday, 31 October 2002 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Just say no to skinny ties, saftey pins, tight pants, poodle hair, tight spandex pants, buttons button and more buttons over jean jackets, dumb hats, the aforementioned horrible pointy shoes and destroy the 3/4 length tshirt which were also tight fitting.

I guess all those makeupout club kids brought back pirates and Judas Priest I wish I was tough leather studded wristbands so its one more reason "emo" (shudder) must be stopped.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 October 2002 16:17 (twenty-three years ago)

next up billy madison style big wet pee-spot jeans

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Skinny ties - Avril Lavigne
Safety pins - Muse
Tight pants - Strokes
Poodle Hair - At the drive in
buttons, buttons and more buttons (over school uniforms) - Busted
Dumb hats - Outkast

Jacob, Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:19 (twenty-three years ago)

did you see the pointy shoes in the 'love at first sight' video? they totally threw off the whole thing but i can't imagine any other style of shoe in their place. so, maybe they were necessary.

"Just Say No" - Mr Noodles

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:37 (twenty-three years ago)

b-b-b-b-but mr. noodles, fab moretti of strokes fame is like 5th coolest in 2002!

listen to 'only built for cuban linx' and there's an interlude where Raekwon explains how he invented the cum stained cloths.

can we have a Enlightenment revival where we all wear chitons and have rampant grape sex?

s magnet, Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Poodle Hair - At the drive in

fro != poodle hair, but it was proven by science earlier that white boy fro must go too.

Dumb hats - Outkast
Not those hats. Im thinking more AC/DC haberdashery.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:53 (twenty-three years ago)

In that case

Dumb hats - erase errata

who I saw pictured in timeout wearing berets.

Jacob, Thursday, 31 October 2002 17:55 (twenty-three years ago)

it's sorta bizarre how berets are coming back. was monica lewinsky ahead of her time?

maura (maura), Thursday, 31 October 2002 18:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Unless your French, in the army or a chef, I can't think of a reason to were a beret.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 31 October 2002 19:12 (twenty-three years ago)

If you like Nouvelle Vague flicks.
