ITV is keen to make an Atomic Kitten TV show
with the provisional title The Atomic
Kitten Mysteries. Its described as "Scooby
Doo meets Charlie's Angels".

that's from popbitch and it got me thinking: "which progs could we remake with popstars in them"? maybe columbo with jah rule? what do you think?

Quincy remade with Craig Nichols.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 31 October 2002 12:11 (twenty-three years ago)

The A-Team remade with pop stars:

HANNIBAL - Josh Homme
MURDOCH - Andrew WK
BA - Busta Rhymes
FACE - Speedo from Rocket From The Crypt

Best TV show EVER.

S Club Seven could...hang on a minute...

Sugababes as Double Deckers? I do know that Supergrass were almost comissioned to do a Monkees-style thing a few years back.

saved by the bell, with justin timbalake as the preppy (he'd have to lose the pube-head tho' in xchange for a flat-top), britney as the ostensibly-virginal-pompomgirl-but-inside-is-really-just-up-for-some-hot-one-on-one-fremmeneppavenette-slut-action, christina as the full on sing-it-loud-i'm-sexually-promiscuous-and-i'm-proud slut one (aka the one who was in showgirls), kelis as the token, jack white as the jock, kid 606 as screech, and brian eno as mr. belding.

But Elisabeth Berkely (the one who was in Showgirls) was the prude on "Saved By The Bell"!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 31 October 2002 13:10 (twenty-three years ago)

i thought the prude was Kelly?

I'd like to see Nick Cave star as Sherlock Holmes, with David Gilmore as Watson (replete with faux moutstache) and guest starring Marilyn Manson as Moriarty.

Roger Fascist (Roger Fascist), Thursday, 31 October 2002 14:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Glee!

Graham (graham), Thursday, 31 October 2002 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

'and i would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids...' - Andrew McClusky

(yes, I *am* just jealous that there is no "The Lollies Mysteries" on ITV yet.)

Gilligan's Island with:
Gilligan - Eminem
The Skipper - David Thomas

Yes/No Interlude (Yes/No Interlude), Friday, 1 November 2002 02:05 (twenty-three years ago)

come on! this is a friday afternoon 'fun thread' if ever there was one. nobody else got any ideas? you can include a plot synopsis too if you like/can be arsed.

So Solid Crew would be (IMHO) a better choice for the Double Deckers. Imagine all their impish adventures.

Alan (Alan), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:14 (twenty-three years ago)

as i said at the top, jah rule would make an ideal 'columbo'. he would be investigating the murder of a whistleblowing journalist (a cameo from ashanti, natch) by an evil businessman played by louis walsh from popstars the rivals.

michael wells (michael w.), Friday, 1 November 2002 16:24 (twenty-three years ago)

or 'remington steel' with enrigue iglesias in the title role and jessica from liberty-x as the real detective.
