it was meant to be deliciously double-edged but who knows, maybe this is really actually cool

the guy played some decent stuff, the tracks were quite short too

And seems to be coming from a more dreamy, positive vibes place than say, Evian Christ

my 12 year old would like this stuff. he listens to endless anonymous lofi hip-hop mixes on youtube. those 24 hour channels "to work/study to".

this music strikes me - perhaps unfairly - as very commercial

whenever i see a video for this type of music on youtube i feel like i'm watching an ad

It's not an aggressively anti-commercial aesthetic by any stretch but I don't think it's more commercial than half of what gets discussed on here?

i heard some of it but _somebody_ kept playing novelty singles by radio 1 djs and i had to bail to save my sanity
