A$AP Rocky - Testing

So apparently, not only there's no thread for this album but there's no proper thread for A$AP Rocky !
I'm not at all familiar with his work but I listened to this album at random and find it really good.
Very ambiant, almost TripHopy at times, but with also some very strong beats and grooves.
I still need to listen to it to have a more precise idea of all the tracks but so far it's one of my favourite albums of the year.

Oh and P4K's reviews of it are funny since the album got a very mixed review while 3 of its songs are Best New Tracks !

ASAP peaked on his first song. I've liked a couple songs off each album he's put out but dont find him essential in any way. Praise the Lord is cool off this.

I admired At. Long. Last. and played it a lot. I can't remember any songs. This one is a wheeze.

So far, I find the first half great.

"brand new guy," "peso," "leaf," "kissin pink," "palace," "bass," "palace" and "demons" still bang.

but yeah, the new one is painfully boring, even that frank ocean song that everyone likes.

First mixtape was awesome but that was a while back.

I have the feeling what most people who like his previous stuff dislike about this album (boring, etc) is precisely what I enjoy about it !

This album is pretty uneven but he's had some pretty great songs in the past. My oldest son has been listening to it nonstop.
