Maaaaaaybe All the Way

Listened to this a zillion times a hundred years ago... probably been a decade and a half since I gave anything besides "Cheers 2 U" a spin though.

I remember picking up the 12" for "Don't Stop the Music" as one of the first moments where I was like "hmm.. Tim ain't infallible".
There had been boring-ish album tracks before that, but they weren't singles... and the sound was so new they felt more excusable, as there were always minor new wrinkles to obsess over, even on minor tracks. "DSTM" was just a bit... boring. Which was weird cuz Static was totally the secret sauce on all those early Tim productions.

I remember "I'll B 2 C U" standing out, but, without a re-listen, this has to be the title track.

Don't Stop the Music is great! not my fav on here but it holds up for me. I'll B 2 C U is in the hunt for sure.

it's a gem for sure. even the intro/interludes are fun.

i'll put this up w/ pretty much any tim produced full length

had only heard i-65 (GOAT) before, only hearing the rest of the album now

I 65 has some marimba buried deep in the production i think. that beat flip around the halfway point is so out of nowhere, so good tho.

i file it next to youngbloodz "85" as great songs about southern highways
