I’ve been meaning to make this poll for awhile now so I didn’t really have that collaborative album in mind, but I’m very much looking forward to hearing it!

Fear O’ the Light is definitely the standout, but yeah (F8) is an amazing interlude track that deserves some votes

it feels less like an interlude than the climax of the album! the actual closing track only begins after a short silence and is much more minimal & concise (while still an excellent ending)

the collaboration album is out in like 3 hours :)

I like it! Sorry, should have reported in. It gets better with repeat listens too.

It doesn't quite have the otherworldly magic of Flood Network but it is a detailed, lovely thing

agreed that it's a grower, it isn't perfect like flood network ("reflection"/"escaping" feel a little slight & halt the flow) but the added expansiveness otherwise fits perfectly, it's great that she's moved in this direction

prob my favorite artist of the second half of the decade

sent the album i've been working on to my label 3 weeks ago and haven't heard from them since i think that means they love it

This is her best imo. Painfully beautiful songwriting start to finish.

'happiness' is a clear SOTY contender, it is up there with 'debt -> (f8)', which if you know me is a pretty big up

well this is delightful!

I sometimes find stuff in this "scene" tends to coast on cool sonics, which this has plenty of, but the songs are really striking as well, and they leverage each other beautifully

Anyways the new album’s really good! The back half is especially strong — and the new version of data is stunning

This album blows taytay's latest effort out of the water. It's a sublime and truthful and daring vision laid down from beginning to end in such a gorgeous way. Dancing-Happiness-LeavIng is a hattrick.

I have not listened to Katie Dey very much, but I kind of stumbled on the new remix/covers album (urdata) and I like it a lot — more than mydata, I think, although I only went to that after hearing urdata first.

my favourite is still flood network

never falter hero girl out on friday, love both of the songs released so far. thought I'd somehow started playing the the's "sweet bird of truth" when "hoarder" came on.

I heard Flood Network for the first time a few days ago and it is my new favourite album.
