nothing is more hilarious than this song, smack in the middle of their debut. they had a decent sound with the witch house thing, but they felt they needed to bring it home by channeling the "skreets."

trying to figure out if he meant *specifically* Salem, because afaict that dude was originally from san francisco and moved to berlin

some of the earlier stuff on tri angle records is somewhat indebted to that whole early 2010s witch house vibe but everything moved past it quickly. some other people did more vocal manipulation stuff but uh, very few got near the "guy awkwardly ranting lyrics" thing

i want to like this but it’s not very good :-(
