Glass Tiger - "Diamond Sun" vs Blue Rodeo - "Diamond Mine"

I only know the Glass Tiger song, so I'm voting for Blue Rodeo.

not really one of my fave Blue Rodeo tunes, but this is my first-ever chance to vote for them in a poll so I'm obviously going to jump on it

It's among my favourite Blue Rodeo songs but it's a weird one for them: on a Dylan-singing-for-the-Doors vibe. The Glass Tiger song does pull out a lot of whoa-oh-ohs tbf. (Tbch, I have only heard the Glass Tiger here but the comparison came to mind right away. I thought of including "The Diamond Sea" but it didn't seem to fit.) xp!

Were Glass Tiger secretly a Christian band? Their sound was more similar to what you'd hear on CCM radio at the time than anything in the secular market.

I think there's just a lot of overlap in sound of MOR music aimed at Canadians and MOR music aimed at Christians.

Especially when we're talking about the 80s.
