everything on here is great but "shining star" is beyond perfect

Like, this is just a major, major blind spot for ILM.

Anyway, I voted for "Yearnin' Learnin'" so it looks like it'll tie for first place, which is cool.

“Shining Star” was the first thing I ever heard by them back in ‘75 and it knocked me out. But I also really really really love the title track, so incredibly gorgeous.

Yeah, this is an excellent album all the way through, but I gotta pick "reasons". One of the most beautiful songs ever made, and Philip Bailey's falsetto on it is just so exquisite. To me, he is the greatest falsetto soul singer, even above Curtis Mayfield.

Yeah, "See the Light" is really fascinating.

Have not heard all the tracks, but the title track has always been a favorite. Puts my troubled mind at ease.

The falsetto's too intense for me -- like a guitar solo -- but, wow, what a performance.

Great album. One of their many classics.
