Yes, I did think of them but I think that was more of a foppish fashion look akin to the Edwardian/Victoriana Granny Takes A Trip thing in the UK.

I don't think the Charlatans or the Elvis Costello pic are quite what I'm talking about. It's more of this mushy amalgamation of bluesman, cowboy and rocker -- a mix-and-match of denim, leather, western shirts, dark button-downs, MAYBE blazers, and black hats (usually with stringy hair under the hat). Bands that play at "roots music" festivals.
