Nadine Shah has a new album out in June! It's called Kitchen Sink and I'm hoping that means she throws the kitchen sink at the wall.
History of me and Nadine Shah:
1. Loved 2013 debut 'Love You Dum and Mad' to bits.2. Somehow never really checked out 2015's 'Fast Food'. 3. Wasn't even aware of 2017's 'Holiday Destination' until relatively recently, and it's totally awesome? Almost a post-punk tribute record, but (a) it's totally Nadine - with her vocals and general perversity how could it not be?; and (b) I had been hoping LoneLady would release a follow-up to her own post-punk tribute record from 5-6 years ago but she stubbornly refuses to, and 'Holiday Destination' definitely provides a lot of similar pleasures.
The two pre-released tracks suggest that the new record may continue with roughly the same vibe, which is totally a-ok with me.
This is a thread to talk about Nadine Shah.

*Love YOUR Dum and Mad
Was accidentally sent 20,000 copies of my new album today instead of 200. I might as well sign them all since I’ve nothing better to do. pic.twitter.com/VayQKu0Z6O— Nadine Shah (@nadineshah) April 28, 2020

New album is unsurprisingly great. Nadine really leans into that dense percussive post-punk loops / slow sonorous vocals combo.

Really liked Holiday Destination so I'm looking forward to listening to this one.

Some distressing posts on Twitter, hoping she’s ok.
