ay so i don't remember where i first found this song but it has a super catchy riff and for years it would pop into my head on occasion, and i thought i remembered enough lyrics to google it but never could figure out what it was. well, lo and behold i recently dug up some old mix cds and it's on one of em! i had the lyrics right but google doesn't know what it is, and neither does shazam... anybody have any ideas? pretty sure the song is called "better days" but who is the band?

just for fun, some of the other songs on the cd included 'flight 601' by fenix tx, 'hyper enough' by superchunk, 'l train' by shootyz groove, that remix of magic carpet ride from the movie 'go', a couple songs from the jet grind radio ost, and the live version of 'jump around' by everlast that i remember seeing on hbo reverb.

thank you wizards of musick o7

No one can tie lyrical clichés together with a half-time drum break like a emo-pop band

This might be an ESL band, maybe from northern europe (Sweden)?

Tried using Soundhound and got a result!

The song is called Better Days by Nuclear Saturday. It showed up on 1998 Vagrant Records compilation called Five Years on the Streets and later showed up on the 2002 album, A Cinderella Story. Looks like they were from Chicago.
