few rappers today bring me more joy than duke deuce, and his new album crunkstar is an absolute blast. it's a definite step up from his previous two albums, moving beyond those crowd-moving crunk bangers and incorporating elements of rock, nola bounce, rage beats, etc. those crunk bangers are still there, tho, don't worry.

yeah i like it a lot, not nearly as diverse as crunkstar and the highs aren’t as high, but it’s reliably head-slapping memphis shit
