Thoughts on Skullcandy?

I have some pairs of Skullcandy headphones that I like. I notice that they appeal a lot to snowboarders(in fact, the founder snowboards) and I see a lot of people wearing them. So, I just wonder if anyone has any opinion on them.

I had some in-ear Skullcandy earbuds that were uncomfortable, had very stiff button control, and sounded too bassy and muddy. My partner's AirPods are much better.

For over ear, I'll stick with my Sony noise cancelling (wireless) or AKG studio cans (wired).

I can't remember the specific Skullcandy model, but the in-ear ones used to be my go-to for everyday, heavy use that wouldn't be the end of the world if I lost or forgot. Obviously not what I'd use for serious listening or expecting audiophile quality, but they filled my everyday needs. Certainly the best of any of the off the shelf at Target, reasonably priced headphones I could get quickly.

as a company based in park city utah i oppose them on principle, because fuck the state i live in and especially park city. plus they're ugly and their name sucks. if pressed i'll go with sony earbuds instead but i haven't needed to in years because of my beloved and indestructible sennheiser hd 25s which sound amazing.

Have been useful when they appear cheap in Tkmaxx so have used them frequently over last few years.
Not seen them in there for months. & only last me a few months anyway. But yeah handy and I thought the sound ok. Have had worse . Also more comfortable than some others I've tried.
