I think there should be a genre for 80's English videos featuring women in the crowd with shoulder length hair whipping it around. English videos featuring this act include:

How Soon Is Now by The Smiths
Unbelievable by EMF
Creep by Radiohead

There are a few others that are on the tip of my tongue and I can't name. I guess the questions are:

1. come up with a genre name for these videos

2. Name some other videos that have this shot as well.

Erm, sorry but "How Soon Is Now" video surely dates from 1992 re-issue, "Unbelievable" was 1991, "Creep" a year or two after that.

Mind you, this does match up with someone-or-other's theory of 'the long 80s'.

The Twistarella video by Ride. Utter shit in every way, but a real sign o' the times in terms of what shit indie discos were like then, and come to think of it, are now.
