Listened to a jungle station at the weekend that was playing insanely hard, manic stuff the like of which I've not heard much of before. A lot of it sounded a bit like some of those Ram Trilogy releases, but the only other reference point I've got is gabber - some very similar synth noises and types of melody.
One tune in particular that had a Star Trek sample "at stardate xxxx ...was hit by laser torpedoes fired from an alien vessel. There were no survivors."
Anyhow, it sounded like the end of the earth at the time, this track, so if you've heard it you'll probably know the one I mean.
