Just thought I'd pass this on in case anyone here was planning on going. They have been invited at the last moment to do that new Sarah Cox show Born Sloppy. (which is on tomorrow night on C4, btw)

That's a shame - I had the pleasure of seeing them here in Edinburgh on Tuesday night.

I'm surprised that they decided to drop the Sheffield gig at such short notice (after all, they were only doing 4 gigs on their current "tour"!) in favour of an appearance on C4. But then again...

Anyway, they're in Manchester tonight (assuming they aren't needed for rehearsals on CD:UK...) - that's not far from Sheffield is it?

they were crap on Born Sloppy but then its hard for any band to look good on a show like that (witness the Libertines awfulness too) - still its cool that bands like that are getting on the telly somehow

I live in Manchester, but we were meant to go to the Sheffield show since we were seeing Peter Kay on Friday. Ah well. I'm told there should be some more shows at the end of March, and some warm up shows in Ireland if anyone over there is reading.

I guess they got a lot of post-pub crowd exposure on Born Sloppy - pretty dreadful show though. Lots of "oooh mummy look we can swear" cussin', painfully dull skits and pointless games, although I did think the "what song is blaring from the car" one had potential. Sara Cox was just as annoying as I thought she would be, and well, there's not a lot I could say about Colin Murray without suddenly having the urge to strangle something so I'd better leave it. And was Fatboy Slim crap or what? At one point he seemed to stomp off in a sulk.
