exciting, i had no idea it was coming out this week. haven't spent much time with any of the singles but "numberology," but i love that one.

are they gonna have to take out words from the band name with each album? my band believe. band believe. believe.

iirc he said part of the idea is the lineup is going to be constantly evolving hence the band will be 'new' each time

I love this album. It’s almost exactly the sound of the idealised Gabriel-era genesis album that hitherto only existed in my head.

yeah heavy o’rourke vibes on the first two songs. also thought of streethawk-era destroyer and mysterious production of eggs-era andrew bird

some of it is like if bejar had gotten really into trying to make folk music and the craft of being a 'singer-songwriter', instead of always being ambivalent at best about those, if that makes any sense

this is really cool. I never heard black midi (or Geordie Greep), but I am into this. I was variously reminded of Colin Blunstone and Olivia Tremor Control (maybe even specifically The Circulatory System? it's been a while), also a similar vibe to Yves Jarvis, who has also reminded me of OTC.

it's good! maybe the most psychedelic one? the effect is a little different from OTC as he's a one-man operation, but I just put it on to confirm I wasn't totally misremembering and I stand by it

this album is so great, but I guess it's an acquired taste or something because I have failed thrice to convince a friend to go see them live on Wed :(
