One of the key things that got me into music - £3.50 a month for eighteen or so tracks, and I loved 'em. Except they don't appear to happen anymore, but anyhow... anyone have any particular favourites?

I suppose ya can't grumble bout getting a cd and a magazine, but oh my am I beginning to tire of Uncut. I only like two or three tracks each month, and their choice of "new" bands is pretty questionable. Better for getting into rereleases and retrospectives of artists of the past.

The 'Keith Richards' one recently was terrific.

As more and more material comes out of copyright I hope we get to see a lot more of this kind of thing.

That Keith Richards comp didn't come with all copies of the mag though. Mine didn't have it and there was no mention of it inside the magazine either or on the cover. It did come with a photo supplement. I presumed that they had copyright probs and withdrew it part way through the run. Bit annoying since it could have been one of the most interesting ones they've done in a while. Anyone know why not all copies had it? Agree though that Uncut is not as great as once it was.
