Rockist Scientist, Thursday, 19 December 2002 15:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Motley Crue. Total idiots devoid of originality, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't throw on SHOUT AT THE DEVIL from time to time.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 19 December 2002 15:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Honor the Fire, Shout at the Devil; all in a day's work for Alex in NYC. ; )

Jay K (Jay K), Thursday, 19 December 2002 16:03 (twenty-three years ago)

The Vines and Ryan Adams fit the bill nicely...

Daniel_Rf (Daniel_Rf), Thursday, 19 December 2002 17:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Great question-Second Ryan Adams + Hardcore bands, add Aerosmith-the early stuff. Sweet Emotion + Same Old Song and Dance.

And Jay Z-great tunes, but isn't he an asshole?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 19 December 2002 18:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Telly Tubbies - manufactured pop, they don't even play on the album.

How could they?

meirion john lewis (mei), Thursday, 19 December 2002 18:48 (twenty-three years ago)

never have i thought of any specific "achievements" in connection with this merry lot, always have listened to them purely because i enjoy them a lot: SLADE

t\'\'t (t''t), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:20 (twenty-three years ago)

A whole wealth of the post-post-grunge bands like Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20, Tonic, Fuel, Lifehouse, Sponge, etc. Inventive? No. Provocative? Most definitely not. But I'm bobbing my head along to the beat nonetheless.

paul cox (paul cox), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:30 (twenty-three years ago)

..even parts of Mr Roboto can cause involuntary head-bobbing.

dave225 (Dave225), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:35 (twenty-three years ago)

At certain moments, Galaxie 500.

Amateurist (amateurist), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:36 (twenty-three years ago)

christoff (christoff), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, G Love too.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 19 December 2002 19:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Maybe Kylie - as much as her songs are cool, you really have to give as much props to her songwriters as her.

Mil, Thursday, 19 December 2002 22:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I wanted to say Guided By Voices, but writing thousands and thousands of songs is a pretty impressive achievement in my book..

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 19 December 2002 22:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Mr. Roboto is proof that every band, no matter how shitty, has one good song in them somewhere.

Christine "Green Leafy Dragon" Indigo (cindigo), Thursday, 19 December 2002 22:50 (twenty-three years ago)
