A carzy question, but.... okay.... is there any possible way back to respectability for Michael Jackson?

Asked in the toughest forum for the bestowing the mantle of integrity on the net... but, I'm curious all the same.

carzy = crazy... surry.

maria b (maria b), Saturday, 21 December 2002 20:20 (twenty-three years ago)

pardon the wording of the question above, I shouldn't post while inebriated. I think about MJ a lot when I drink for some reason.

maria b (maria b), Saturday, 21 December 2002 20:22 (twenty-three years ago)

The *ONLY* respectable thing for him to do, at this point, is take his own life.

alex, harsh but quite possibly true.

He should just exile himself to a remote island or a mountain retreat in Tibet for the rest of his days. It's too late to salage his career, but maybe he could still preserve a bit of the mystery.

maybe he could make a really, really, really good album.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 21 December 2002 21:06 (twenty-three years ago)

with no songs titled "The Lost Children"

Like maybe an album of J Timberlake cover songs

Honda (Honda), Saturday, 21 December 2002 21:09 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd like to see him grinding with a sweaty Christina Aguilera in the video for the first single off her next album, maybe.

jacko says, "fuck this lot," eases the sentimentality and gets to the heart of his madness, kind of like a good later scratch perry record. a strange record using the depth of talent he and not many people have, one filled with bitterness and hate. i'd pay to see that.

matthew james (matthew james), Sunday, 22 December 2002 00:55 (twenty-three years ago)

If he released a death metal album I'd buy it.

Curtis Stephens, Sunday, 22 December 2002 04:13 (twenty-three years ago)

nonononno - no exile!

1. Quit with the kids' choirs on his records
2. Do a few interviews
3. Make fun of himself in a George Michael stylee
4. There is no 4. I am drunkjen.

dog latin (dog latin), Sunday, 22 December 2002 04:52 (twenty-three years ago)

drunkjen from the block

Maybe if he got together with Greg Ginn and the guys from Clutch and called Slash back up again and put out an album that rocked the fuck out to the max...nevermind.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Sunday, 22 December 2002 07:44 (twenty-three years ago)

This is actually pretty easy. All he needs to do is piggy-back on the electro revival. Get like Felix da Housecat and Tommie Sunshine to produce his next record. Those guys might actually get MJ to have a drink and loosen up a bit. I could totally see them producing like this total masterwork that summarizes the last twenty years of electro-pop. People like us would dig it because it'd sound like he gave a damn about the outside world. Hipsters would buy it for the 'neat' factor. Late-thirtysomething moms would buy it because mj is back and he is ready to rock.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Sunday, 22 December 2002 09:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Hell no. Michael Jackson has been resting on his musical laurels for too long. Somehow, he didn't expect the music scene to have moved on. His last CD was rubbish; I'm only thankful I'd not bought it.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Sunday, 22 December 2002 16:08 (twenty-three years ago)

instead of taking his life himself he could always get killed...murdered..but it'd have to be in a spectacular way. not involving kidz. he could go to iraq and die in the line of fire or request a special audience 4 saddam hussein who is probablya closeted mj fan and start doing hip gyrations into saddam's face so many "oohs!" at a time, taking the glove off his hand which conceals the mutated flesh it had become and peeling his putty nose off and smearing all of them over saddam's hair, after which saddam will order him to be killed but before saddams guards come mj rubs saddams facei nto the crotch of his body, which causes saddam to die due to inhaling noxious underwear fumes. then mj gets killed and is awarded a congressional of honor 4 bravery. i still dont think he'd be respected though

Vic (Vic), Sunday, 22 December 2002 16:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I always thought he could just enter the contemporary art world, with his shrinking nose and penchant for fostering a Neverland on Earth. He's treading into some serious Howard Hughes territory though. Maybe somebody like Casey Spooner would be a good new friend. I really think the person who said something about electro is really onto something. Get Darren Aronofsky to direct the first video. No more fucking gangsters.

maria b (maria b), Sunday, 22 December 2002 17:36 (twenty-three years ago)

He could buy a new nose and drop the kid next time - that would earn my respect right back.

liter o' cola, Sunday, 22 December 2002 21:27 (twenty-three years ago)

HE MUST SIGN TO GSL RECORDS

Jonathan Williams (ex machina), Sunday, 22 December 2002 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

michael could conceivably get a hold of some good songs, a good producer, and show everyone how good a record can sound. (odds against 500:1)

then he could get a hot band behind him and take it on the road and remind everyone what an incredible, uniquely gifted talent he is. (odds against 10,000:1)

neither of these would solve any of his problems.

the chances of this happening are about a zillion to one, and even if it did it wouldn't solve his problems.

dan (dan), Sunday, 22 December 2002 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

he can't even EVER get his real nose back, much less respectability
