Not sure yet if I'm going to go to both nights, or just the Saturday show. Does anyone want to meet up at or before the show on either night?

Crap. I would check'em out, gonna be in Ohio with the family playing with my new Korg MS2000 that I'm getting for Xmas. I saw'em like 8 months ago at the 9:30 for the Death & Dismemberment tour, really good. Packed fucking house for a weeknight. I'm missing James Brown that week too. Oh well, maybe something's going on in Pittsburgh.

are you from pittsburgh?

Vic (Vic), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 03:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm from "Pittsburgh's Newest Suburb...In Ohio!!!", that would be the dying/dead steel town of Steubenville Ohio. It's about 35/50 minutes west of Pittsburgh, depending on if you drive 85mph or not.

However, Now I live in Severn MD, right between DC and Baltimore, like 20 minutes down the parkway from either. If you're from Pittsburgh, tell Mike Siciliano and (a Roboto member) and Joe Kovach (I think works as a chef in some hotel) that Dan from Factor 8 said Hi. And tell Manny Theiner (sp?) to go directly to Hell. By the way, is there a website for Graffiti or Metropol or Laga? I can't seem to find them.

OMG my brother lived in Stupidville (just kidding!) for like 5 years. It really isn't that bad, well if you don't like bowling, yeah it is, sorry.

i'm from da south hillz but I DO NOT REPRESENT, OKAY?

and i'm pretty sure there's a website for laga and metropol - which is now called M. wait, now i just imed someone and he said they changed it back to metropol. so er, i think there are website, but i couldn't tell u what they are ; )

What his name. I graduated from SHS in 1998, spent 4 years there, and had some outside-the-school party contacts, I might know him.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 07:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh you wouldn't know him he was a doctor in that trinity or whatever hospital there, not really in any scene outside the pretentious-indian-doctor-families-who-show-off-their-houses-to-one-another scene and i don't think he knew many people outside the hospital anyway. but if u knew any kids in preschool, or ever went to a radiologist, then u might know this kids/him

pittsburgh suXor no?

Vic (Vic), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 07:07 (twenty-three years ago)

My mom was kinda in charge of the either preschool or daycare (I honestly don't know what category it fits into) there in the highschool (the other half of her job is teaching dropouts and teenage mothers to get their GEDs), I think they called it Evenstart or something, maybe she knows your brother's kids.

Well, Pittsburgh was the only town to go to in my yout ( unless I wanted to drive 3 hours to Cleveland or 5 hours to DC or 10 hours to Chicago/New York), so I can't totally diss it. It's cool if you like guys with hardhats and mustaches that say things like "Y'uns (I think a contraction of 'You ones" I dunno)". But yeah, anyplace that Anti-Flag hails from sucks assXor.

haha yah pittsburghese = gum band. wurshing machine. dahntahn. yaaaargh!!!

and then they spend millions on those ad-campaigns to lure young people to move there or even to "stay!" and wonder why it doesn't work

oh but iron city beer = classic, just because its so bad

Vic (Vic), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 07:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll have you know that I proudly sported an I.C. Beer tshirt at least 4 times a month during my time stationed in California (where I met my wife, from Minnesota where the localest brew you can get is Grain Belt. I only drank one and I had a hangover the next morning. I think they ferment garbage juice instead of barley). Man, that shit is top notch. Up there with Natural Light, Milwauki's Best, Shlitz, Busch, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Schaffer, and other premium American lagers.

Speaking of beer, Tom Millar pointed this out to me, hardly any microbrewerys do lagers (yeah yeah, because of the huge refridgeration units they'd need), but aren't we all getting a little tired of having barely any microbrews besides ales?

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Tuesday, 24 December 2002 07:52 (twenty-three years ago)

um, i'll be there. e-mail me, i guess? i'll be with lots of friends, the more the merrier.

Al (sitcom), Thursday, 26 December 2002 01:09 (twenty-three years ago)

grain belt premium is far better than the others you mention, but summit is as local as grain belt.

Josh (Josh), Thursday, 26 December 2002 01:24 (twenty-three years ago)

tell me more about the DP. I am home with nothing to do. I could use some good music and beer and company.

I think women with Pittsburgh accents sound sexy.

I wish my library would buy Dismemberment Plan CDs, but it's not likely.
