RFI: Classic Bootlegs

After reading Heylins book on Bootlegs, I had to get ask:

Taking Sides: Siouxsie and the Banshees Love in A Void vs The Scream
Taking Sides: Bob Dylan's Ten of Swords vs Biograph
Taking Sides: The Rolling Stones LiveR Than You'll Ever Be vs get yer Ya Ya's Out
Taking Sides: Prince's The Black Album vs er...um...Metallica's The Black Album

And are any of these bootlegs available on CD yet?

The Black Album (Prince's, silly) has been available on official CD since '94, when WB released it to help end his contract. I think it only remained in print for a short time thereafter, which is why people seem to still think it was never released (see also Ego Trip's Big Book of Racism).

Large parts of Ten of Swords appeared on The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3 and the Live 1966 disc repeats ToS's tenth (vinyl) disc in its entirety (the electric set).

(plus, the classic live Prince boot is Small Club, Second Show That Night, 8.18.88, Amsterdam, featuring a "Just My Imagination" that I've mentioned dozens of times on these boards and that Ned will back me up on as being one of the Diminutive Purple Guy's all-time greatest momemnts)

Thanx, Matos.

Bat Chain Puller vs Shiny Beast?

Haven't both of those been merged into one official release already?

Lord Custos Omega (Lord Custos Omega), Thursday, 26 December 2002 19:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think the original Bat Chain Puller has ever been officially released. It was just rereleased as another bootleg last year, called "Dust Sucker"

Okay, lets change the format of this thread:

Love in a Void, Ten of Swords LiveR Than You'll Ever Be and The Black Album?

What's a good Web site to find decent sounding bootlegs? I've been looking for an early Van Morrison live set that's supposed to be killer.
