Oh come on, it must already be difficult enough to write when you can't spell. I'm sure he's had it pointed out to him a thousand times before. But at last I can bring up something that's been puzzling me: why doesn't I Love Music get more questions/answers of this - um - tone?

(Metallica - of course they're sell-outs. I saw them all dressed in new clothes, with short hair and gel, and I'm pretty sure that one of them was wearing a white T-shirt and braces. And then there was that pepsi commercial, and didn't one of them give classified information to Saddam Hussein? Remember that scandal? And I think that an evangelist paid them to say on television that rock WAS the devil's music, though no-one paid much attention to that. But what really proved it beyond all doubt was the re-mix by Puff Daddy featuring Mariah Carey on backing vocals, with the video where they are lazing around a pool surrounded by ethnic minority women in bikinis gyrating and then a kid falls into the pool and they dive in and rescue it, and then there's this scene where they're in heaven and Michal Gorbachev was paid to do a cameo as God giving them medals bearing the inscription 'Smoke Benson&Hedges.')

I'll always remember a TV interview with a Metallica fan, shirtless at a music fest; he'd had all 4 of them tattooed onto his back, circa And Justice 4 All period - long hair etc. The sheer look of shaken disbelief when the presenter asked him what he'd do now they'd cut their hair...memories and mammories are indeed made of moments like these

Maybe they've indeed become bloated, fatuous sell-outs, but any band that can count an album as seminal as MASTER OF PUPPETS in their back catalogue is perfectly entitled to spend the rest of their career taking it easy and living the high life, as far as I'm concerned.

I think they can sense instantly that we're a bunch of whinging pussies (© heybuddy)

Alex in nyc is right on the money (no pun intended). Except for me its Ride the Lightning.
