stevem won't agree, but the mother bar at 333 Old Street is really fun and unpretentious and free. Nowt wrong with Trash.

i'm opposed to door policies of any kind and i understand Trash has one, altho its pretty relaxed (my American friend had to show them his 'cool' T-shirt underneath his sports-casual jacket to get in)...so thats my main beef - also, you get this impression its just The Erol Show which is a bit annoying altho he is a pretty good DJ from what i have witnessed myself...i can understand the logic of wanting to keep out a certain type of clientele (towny louts etc.) but these things are always hopelessly hypocritical and inconsistent. really tho, its just sour grapes that i never got down there 'when it was good'

333 Old Street...is the Mother Bar (i've heard of it) actually just the ground floor of the 333 club then? only been there on a Saturday not Monday (my religion forbids Monday clubbing)

333 is rubbish on a weekend, dont know about mondays

Somebody told me Trash's dress code was basically just a ruse to discourage underage kids by making them think it was all fairly strict on the door. I'm not sure if that's true. Trash is possibly worth going to because one day somebody will suck their cheeks in so much THEIR FACE WILL IMPLODE and it will be quite funny.
