which classic MCs have yet to step out of the hip hop fraternity for a minute and guest on a pop or dance track

Kool Keith's done it (w. Prodigy and Regular Fries)
Kool G Rap's done it (with UNKLE)
Method Man's done it (with Roni Size and Limp Bizkit)
ODB's done it (with Omar)
Ghostface Killah's done it (with Cassius)
Ice Cube's done it (with Paul Oakenfold)
Puff Daddy's done it, apparently (with Darren Emerson!)

how about the Rza himself? LL Cool J even (i'm sure he's done it but can only think of the Adam F track but thats still pretty hip hop)?

what do you think about the rappers who do it, and the records themselves? does it work? its always more a cred boost for the band rather than the guest rapper isnt it?

GREEN VELVET featuring EMINEM!!!!!!!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 30 December 2002 14:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Q-Tip's guested on 'Groove Is IN The Heart' and NU Yorican Soul's 'I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun', AND Janet's 'Got Til Its Gone' - he's possibly the most 'promiscuous' contributor in hip hop in fact

Ice T did work with Bodycount of course...not pop or dance but METAL, i'm sure he's done something poppier tho

who could BUsta Rhymes work with but stay cool? what about Snoop Dogg? i expect one of them will do a track with Timo Maas soon

stevem (blueski), Monday, 30 December 2002 14:40 (twenty-three years ago)

i only know the stanton warriors bootleg version where they mix the vocals from the skribble track with mr reds 'can you feel it' but i dunno its a little lyrically spare even for a flipmode track!! rampage, spliff star, consequence, and ed lover rhyme on it too
