TS: Acoustic Blues vs. Electric Blues

I don't like the blues much at all, but I recently realized, to my surprise, that the handful of blues songs I've ever really liked have all been acoustic.

That is an acceptable answer. For me, it's easy to say acoustic, but I don't particularly know or like the genre.

That's the thing, for bluesheads (if that's what they--we--are called), there's like a million dumbass subgenres, so you could say, like Acoustic Pre-War Delta Blues from a Drought Year, and then I'd be like, "Yeah, that's the good stuff!"

I've actually been really into the piano blues lately, which, I guess, is acoustic?

The only blues I can stand now is stuff that isn't 12-bar, which I guess includes some of both. I like R.L. Burnside some, b/c he can go for 5 minutes on one chord, same w/ Fred McDowell.

Where does Lonny Pitchford fit into the picture? One of my favorite blues tracks is by him. He's playing one string guitar.
