So, this is Thurston Moore, Brian Chippendale and who else?

I'm seeing them tonight, most likely, and I'm curious about it.

Jeremy (of all people) told me they're noisy + electronic sounding

from Boston Phoenix:

TUESDAY 14

As of last week, tonight's headliners upstairs at the Middle East were being billed as Nuntronix, a project featuring Thurston Moore and official SY fifth member Jim O'Rourke teamed up with drummer Brian Chippendale from the Providence spazz-metal duo Lightning Bolt. By press time, O'Rourke had bowed out and nobody was sure whether Chippendale was coming, but Thurston, we're told, is still on board. We haven't any idea what it'll sound like, and we have a suspicion he doesn't either. That's at the Middle East, 472 Mass Ave in Central Square. Eloe Omoe, the Major Stars, and Life Partners open. It's 18-plus and $8; call (617) 864-EAST.

I've gotten confirmation that Chippendale is in, but I didn't end up going due to too much shit going on (i.e., driving to boston in rush hour isn't fun, I needed to shower, put gas in the car, and write college application essays.)

They ought to play in Olneyville.

On a related note, the new Mindflayer album is fantastic.

on a related note, WHERE WERE YOU DAVE???

It was good.... on par with lightning bolt or mindflayer but definately not as tight. Anyone record this.

Also, Life Partners were fantastic.

Jon is an Eloe Omoe apologist. I have proof.

PJ McGee, Wednesday, 15 January 2003 22:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah, fuck that, I didn't want to see it.

Dave Fischer, Thursday, 16 January 2003 02:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Yesh, the new Mindflayer is awesome (what I've heard of it, at any rate.) I'll probably go visit Armageddon soon and waste my hard-earned cash... sigh. If I win my auctions on Skylab, I'll have no money left! Aahhhh.

Go buy Chippendale posters at Atlas Bower, eh?
