David Soul -vs- Tom Wopat.
I'm taking Wopat on this one... Soul was a hack.

Someone mention C.H.I.P.S. - I lOVED this when I was a kid. I like how they ALWAYS had one "fun" subplot (dogs/crazy old people) and one big main plot (drugs/guns/death).

The Dukes' General Lee prophesized NASCAR and extended the Confederate symbiology, but that whacked-out orange '69 Dodge Charger (Challenger?) while replete with ported exhaust and roll-cage completed virtually impossible tasks (which was obvious to me even as a child). The Dukes get points for high family values, a killer-hot sister/cousin, and a Waylon Jennings theme song, but it just ain't enough.
---But CHiPs, now that's embarrassing.
