'dave's dream' is from 'Extended Play 1' but the 2 minute (or thereabouts) bit at the start isn't - its definitely Broadcast though...sounds a bit like 'Dead The Long Year' from the last album but I dont think it is

Steve I got the CD, thanks a million, my cd rom drive won't play some of the MP3s including all the Audio Bullys stuff! I've had this problem before but it's not to worry, it just means I'll have to get a friend to copy them into regular cds or wait until I get a CD burner which should be soon. I'll do you a mix then also.

dang, i did test the cd before i sent it and all seemed ok, including the Bullys stuff - do try it on another computer if you can - let me know

I'd say it's my computer to be honest, I've had the same problem with cds from my brother. Is it possible my CD drive is too old to properly read from writable discs? Some of the stuff does work and some doesn't. I'll get it burned anyway, as I say.

well the CD i used was made by PC Line which is the crappy PC World brand - i suppose the CDs are actually manufactured by a leading company but done on the cheap, this might mean there are incompatiblity issues with certain CD drives, or the data on the discs is more prone to corruption. unfortunately its all pretty much snakes and ladders...

the production seems wrong on the first one. similar to broadcast, but yeah, not a broadcast tune i've ever heard.

mp3 #1 has a really "made at home in the basement" feel. could be anything, couldn't it? do you have any more information/clues that could lead me in the right direction?

hmmm, i recorded it on minidisc during a general music-swapping session at a friend's...other stuff on the disc included some Boards Of Canada, Brothom States, Other People Place and a few tracks from Fila Brazilli'a 'Another Late Night with...' mix..but its unlikely to be any of those. i guess i should just play the track to my friend next time i see him (he probably wont remember either tho, bah)
