Alright, yes, I'm taking this D Plan thing hard, but I saw this in HMV at lunch and I was tempted to buy it. Is it any good?

It's good, if you're into a big dramatic droney space-rock sound (think Sunny Day Real Estate, but more rock) with uber-poetic/pretentious lyrics (also think SDRE, but without the whiny keening vocals). Sometimes it works great, but the eight-minute spoken-word track is way overdoing it.

MP3s to check out: "You Are The Beautiful Conductor Of This Orchestra" from the official Juno site, "When I Was In _____" from Juno's Epitonic page, a bunch of clips from an Earpollution interview.

Also, on their 2001 split with Dismemberment Plan they do a teriffic cover of "High Noon" by DJ Shadow.

eleven years pass...

I don't know if anyone cares for this anymore and up to this point, especially considering the small impact Juno seem to have left here, but: Ghost Wars album has been released finally, renamed Atoms And Void. After all these years. Think it might have been 2005 since the first announcements? This is a surprise.

Yes, mainly Arlie John Carstens. The story behind all this really is incredible. I think they had to restart from scratch two times after completely losing nearly finished recordings...

Also, it seems to be quite good, despite Lay Down Your Weapons sounding better in demo mode. Obvious connections to Talk Talk.

Such an unexpected treat to hear Arlie's voice again.
