Listening to Beastie Boys or Public Enemy while riding your bike and wearing headphones and hearing the siren-samples and stopping suddenly and looking around for cops/ambulances/fire-trucks...TOTALLY FARKIN DUD.

When I first listened to Wu Tang's "In The Hood" (that the right title?) on headphones while out walking I kept being fooled by the fire trucks in the track.

The skit right before "Area Codes" on Word of Mouf; close-miked cellphone ring panned all the way left, it sounds like it's just BEHIND your left ear so when it's on headphones I'm out, right, on the subway or whatever and haha I always wind up for a big angry glare to my left - when I remember.
