James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 23 January 2003 08:01 (twenty-three years ago)

good riddance. i wonder what many-tentacled robot she's going to be replaced with

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 23 January 2003 08:06 (twenty-three years ago)

well, she's not going anywhere for the rest of the year...read the article closer.

M Matos (M Matos), Thursday, 23 January 2003 08:07 (twenty-three years ago)

a year ain't that long! and it's not like she's resigning under a cloud or anything alas. there's actually a tone of triumphalism to it, like they think going after the ICPs might be the right way to go.

James Blount, Thursday, 23 January 2003 08:44 (twenty-three years ago)

My bet ... she's retiring because she's been file sharing in a major way, and now they can legally demand the identity of individual fire-sharers, she's afraid of getting caught.

Headline 2004: FORMER RIAA LOBBYIST INDICTED IN FILESWAPPING IMBROGLIO. ROSEN - "I'M NOT PAYING $40 FOR NO NEW YORK".

James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 23 January 2003 17:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I seriously doubt she listens to any music at all. That would be like naming the cows before you slaughter 'em.

Chris Dahlen (Chris Dahlen), Thursday, 23 January 2003 17:06 (twenty-three years ago)

You doubt anyone listens to music!

James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 23 January 2003 17:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Seriously, though: just read Hit Men. That book doesn't even mention the word "music" until page 305...

Naive Teen Idol (Naive Teen Idol), Thursday, 23 January 2003 17:22 (twenty-three years ago)

The Washington Post article noted that Rosen's partner, director of the Human Rights Campaign, also is stepping down from her job at the end of 2003.

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 23 January 2003 23:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Interesting place for her to end up at.
