How many times, out of ten, do you like the album you're playing?

I don't enjoy attaching a numerical rating to records when I have to write about them. When I do this, I'm always confronted with the fact that the number is the result of some mysterious inner logic that I'm not sure I could define or defend.

However, one thing that occured to was that it might be the average number of times I like the record out of ten times playing it. Even if that's complete nonsense, how many times do you like what you picked to play?

95% ... but note that number has gone up considerably since I started making my own compilation CDs of good stuff off albums I otherwise wouldn't like.

if a single disc gets to 10 times i must really love it.
i tend to play unfamiliar things and unfortunately that means 7/10 times i'm somehow disatisfied. i just realised this might be my problem, so i'm changing my policy, now where's that Jay-Z disc?

Pretty often it's 10/10 (the advantages of a big collection), although right now I'm listening to Love's Forever Changes for the billionth time in the past two months, and though it's still good, I'm starting to get slightly burnt on it.

four years pass...

sometimes i'll put on stuff that i'm still trying to get used to or trying to find new angles on so as to ultimately like it, so my answer is about 8/10
