which are the great/good smiths bootlegs to buy/download ?
- i've heard the troy tate demo stuff which are interesting
and the ace cover of james' 'what's the world'.

also the same q for morrissey solo stuff

the tracks that appear on none of
the albums at all (including the louder than bombs comp.)
and there aren't many, are
'the draize train', 'work is a 4 letter word',
'i keep mine hidden', 'wonderful woman', and
'jeanne'.
the ones that are on none of the 4 nor hatful/world wont listen
but that *are* on 'louder than bombs' are
'sweet and tender hooligan', 'golden lights',
'sheila take a bow', 'is it really so strange'
and the alternate take of 'stretch out and wait'
which no-one ever seems to mention.
ta-da !

thanks! i'm really regretting throwing out all my old smiths bootlegs. troy tate demos = key (though that new smiths book warns that lots of circulating copies are missing some overdubs), and also the last gig @ brixton academy is quite, umm, emotional.
